Willow Creek

The gentle flowing waters of summertime Willow Creek are used to irrigate our garlic crop.

As the day cools and slips quietly into evening the soothing burble of Willow Creek sounds its’ passage as it follows the gentle curve of the earth south. It silently joins the Oldman River, named after “Napi”, the creator of Earth and all its living inhabitants. Eventually the water shed from the Porcupine Hills joins the South Saskatchewan drainage which empties into the Hudson’s Bay; home to sea urchins and starfish, a variety of fish, over 200 species of birds, the regal polar bear and formidable muskox. The gift of water is immeasurable, we are all tacit beneficiaries.
